Aasiya Shah
Aasiya was a member of the Lyric Young Company in Hammersmith after which she received her first professional role in Lyndsey Turner’s production of ‘Tipping the Velvet’. She has sinced worked extensively in a variety of television and theatre, appearing as a series regular in Ridley Scott’s epis sci-fi ‘Raised by Wolves’ and Sky’s ensemble comedy ‘Bloods’, Rabiah Hussain’s play ‘Spun’ (Arcola Theatre) and Chinonyerem Odimba’s play ‘Unknown Rivers’ (Hampstead Theatre) directed by Daniel Bailey. She is also a keen and experimental theatre-maker having just debuted her one woman show ‘I Did Not Just Waste My Life’, commissioned by the Volcano Theatre in Swansea. Voice work includes Nadiya Hussain’s audiobook ‘The Secret Lives of The Amir Sisters’, Kate Pankhurst’s ‘We Are All Astronauts’ and Preeti Dhillon’s ‘The Shoulders We Stand On’.
